METAL DRUMS

Today the production of metal drums (realized on a special, innovative and automatic production line) represents the core business of Nuova S.TE.I.M.

Another creation of Nuova S.TE.I.M. are metal containers able to meet the needs of several industrial sectors such as steel, textile, metallurgical and chemical. The industrial drums are made of carbon steel and they are approved for the transport of solid and liquid dangerous goods (I°, II° and III° group).

The containers are made of a metal sheet of different thickness: 1,5 mm for the cladding and 2 mm for the bottom. Internally, they are also provided with a frustoconical neck joined to the drum by welding. On its top you can find a flange with four threaded holes provided with a sealing ring; it is surmounted by a slidable damper and a second threaded flange. The drum is closed by an outer protective cover which is fixed to the ferrule by a closing ring with external lever.

The metal containers of Nuova S.TE.I.M. are approved and certified by the Superior Center of Research and the Vehicles and Devices Testing of Rome; they have also the authorization of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
